Cuties include to support key workers within the setting, to help set-up activities and to work with the children, helping to maintain the general hygiene and care of the setting. There will be opportunity to train as a key worker. The governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and caring teaching assistant to support children with mainly special educational needs (initially in KS2).Role is to work mainly in Class 1(FS, Yr1, Yr 2) Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure..Pupils attending the Units have emotional, social and/or behavioural difficulties which have in the past prevented them from accessing their educational entitlement within mainstream schooling.
An understanding of the issues related to emotional, social and behavioural difficulties is essential and applicants would need to demonstrate excellent management skills in dealing with B.E.S.D, and sound knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 3-4 curriculum. You will be working with young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education.Qualities: positive approach to learning, being non judgmental, empathetic and able to understand emotional aspects of children. One person may be suitable for both posts We are looking for someone to join our team, working primarily in our Foundation Stage and Key Stage One class and to cover some lunchtime duties too. Extra hours may be available in our after school club although this is run by a private provider.
